The area around Kalkan provides entertainment for everyone. Below is a list of some of the activities available.
- Daily boat trips from the harbour which give you the opportunity to swim in the crystal clear water of the Med and provide delicious lunches on board
- Tandem paragliding
- Patara Beach which has been voted one of the best beaches in the the few places Loggerhead turtles lay their eggs
- Visit the enormous market in Fethiye with it’s wonderful fruit and vegetable indoor area
- Take a boat from Kaş to the Greek island of Meiz (Castelloriso)
- Spend the day at one of the local beach clubs which offer water sports
- Scuba diving
- Visit one of the many ancient Lycian sites
- Have a lazy lunch or dinner at one of the trout farms in the lovely village of İslamlar
- Take a walk along the longest gorge in Turkey at Saklikent
- Attend one of the Hotels’ Turkish nights
Trips to many of these attractions can be booked through travel agencies in the village and local buses mean that you can find your own way to them.
